This position is a part-time ten-month position beginning in September, 2023.

The Afterschool Library Assistant will perform the following duties under the supervision of Viewpoint's Director of Libraries and the Middle and Upper School Librarian:
Manage the Fletcher Family Library's front circulation desk, checking out and returning books and laptops to library patrons Assist with the circulation of the library's print resources, including sending out overdue notices Supporting the cataloging and processing of new books and other circulating library resources Support the librarians in actively maintaining an academic tone in the library after school Assist students and other library patrons with locating books Shelve books daily Assist the school's Extended Care Supervisor with supervision of the terrace outside of the library Assist in Viewpoint's Primary and Lower School library (shelving and other clerical tasks) as requested The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A collaborative, helpful and friendly attitude towards students of all ages A willingness to work in a busy library serving students in Grades 6-12 A high level of commitment to customer service Requirements for the position:
A high level of comfort troubleshooting technology, including Apple and PC computers and laptops, printing, library management software, and digital display monitors Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexibility and a willingness to work in both of our libraries as requested Strong written and verbal communication skills Compensation:
Anticipated compensation is $18.
00 per hour depending on experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
