The Quality Assurance Technician will play a critical role in being responsible for the activities involved in assuring the quality of all raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
The Technician will be proficient in the QA Floor Technician role and have limited Lab Technician responsibility (up to 20%).

Responsibilities Here's what you'll get to do:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Inspects and evaluates raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate ingredients and finished product to meet company food safety, quality and service objectives Adheres to specifications and work instructions as well as provides input for improvements Reviews PQG product quality guarantee paperwork for conformity to specifications Conducts GMP inspections Conducts pre-operational inspections Conducts on-shift product review evaluations Reports on quality and food safety non-conformances; escalates issues to the QA Supervisor and/or QA Manager in a timely manner Initiates and administers quality and food safety holds Attends and participates in all appropriate meetings (i.
e.
Quality Huddles, shift handovers, staff meetings, training, etc.
) Interacts professionally with all other departments (production, receiving, shipping, sanitation, safety and maintenance) Follows all safety procedures in accordance with company requirements and OSHA Assist with new hire onboarding Works on other duties that may be assigned by the QA Supervisor or QA Manager Lab Technician duties:
Responsible for the inspection and microbiological testing of incoming raw materials, intermediate ingredients and finished product following the respective sampling protocol.
Performs gluten-free/allergen testing Participates in proficiency testing Qualifications What we require:
Minimum 6 months previous laboratory experience.
Knowledge of basic micro techniques (aseptic sampling, dilutions, plating).
Good communication skills and ability to read, write and speak English.
General Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access).
Ability to make laboratory math calculations like concentrations, titrations, etc.
Must be able to work overtime on weekdays and weekends.
What we prefer:
Experience in Quality Assurance in a food manufacturing environment.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related science.
