Job DescriptionThe IT Assets Administrator focuses on developing and executing sourcing strategies for the continuity of the IT organization, existing and new store infrastructures, to include software and hardware.
The IT Assets Administrator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool use to track software assets and licenses used by HFT.
The IT Assets Administrator also completes vendor communication and functions with relation to hardware purchases and services.
This role will ensure that HFT assets, both hardware and software are appropriately accounted for, and will implement and follow HFT's standards for acquiring, managing and disposing of IT assets.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the Management of the IT Assets process:
Verify preferable costs and contract details with effectiveness and due diligence on behalf of the internal client and best interests of HFT by analyzing price proposals, usage data, and business demand.
Evaluate proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make appropriate recommendations.
Oversee Invoice processing and bill paying as it relates to IT purchases and telecom expenses.
Understand the financial implications of purchases and ability to develop the total cost of ownership (TCO), and recommend solutions which not only meet fiscal obligations but also business requirements.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with; Internal IT clients, other HFT Organizations, and HFT supplier base (vendors/partners).
Proper communication of issues and problems is made in a timely manner.
Manage tracking of hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.
Follow processes relating to software and hardware asset management, execute and recommend enhancements to them.
Perform daily and long-term operational and strategic management of hardware and software.
Prepare pre-defined and ad-hoc reports related to hardware and software assets.
Plan, monitor, and record hardware assets and/or software licenses to make sure they comply with vendor contracts in different software tools.
Ensure asset management solution accurately counts the software license deployments across all desktops, laptops, and servers.
Input comprehensive and accurate software license entitlement data in the Software Asset Management tool in order to produce an Effective License Position for Publishers.
Provide support during Publishers' audits.
Assist with management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate.
Prepare and provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting demanded by management.
Take part in various projects, providing support to IT management.
Learn and follow the scheme for identifying hardware and software-related assets, including versioning and dependencies in the asset management tools, attributes, the Contract management library, the CMDB, and the SAM.
Confirm hardware assets with actual inventory, and initiate corrective actions and tract them.
Assist in managing activities concerning license compliance audits to be able to answer to requests from software auditors effectively.
Maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance.
Maintain hardware and software maintenance database.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Two to five years IT experience in a corporate environment.
Knowledge of IT software and hardware.
Willingness to learn SAM tool function and options.
Willingness to learn software licensing agreements and contracts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and end-user/client language.
Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.

The anticipated range for this position is $29.
42-$44.
13 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience.

Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
