Up to $324,000 per yearThe Executive Director, Investor Relations will be responsible for continuing to develop and execute strategic investor relations initiatives to deliver financial and corporate messages to the investment community.
This is a great opportunity for someone to partner closely with our CEO and CFO to deliver our investor strategy.
The candidate will leverage a strong understanding of the investment community, including buy-side and sell-side areas of focus and methods for assessing company value.
Some of the primary responsibilities are to craft and articulate a compelling investment rationale and communicate the story and key talking points for investor conferences.
The role spans strategy development with senior leadership to communication and engagement with the investment community to insight gathering and analysis, will work cross-functionally with leaders across finance, corporate communications, commercial, manufacturing, and legal.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Develop investors' confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder valueCreate and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external partiesEstablish relationships on Buyside and Sellside, as well as proactively leading efforts to maintain a high level of visibility for the company through Non- deal Roadshows as well as investor relation led effortsManage interactions and communications with existing and potential shareholders as well as analysts; be intuitive and responsive to investor and analyst information needs in compliance with company policies and securities regulationsCollaborate with executive leadership to advance engagement with analysts to achieve coverage that recognizes portfolio value and aligns with the corporate growth trajectoryConduct targeted outreach to the financial community through planning and organizing conferences, non-deal roadshows, quarterly updates, and Analyst DayPartner with cross-functional teams to synthesize business intelligence, including real-time insights and analysis of analyst research, investor sentiment, competitor activity, and effectively prepare executive leadership and other internal stakeholders for investor interactionsCollaborate closely with corporate communications and other cross-functional partners to maintain consistent external messagingPartner with the legal team to develop securities filings and other disclosures and help ensure compliance with company policies and securities regulations, including Reg FD, across corporate communications and investor and analyst interactionsEffectively prepare executive leadership and other internal stakeholders for investor interactionsServes as the key point of contact for the investment communityCreates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investorsEstablishes the optimum type and mix of shareholders, and creates that mix through a variety of targeting initiativesOversees the production of annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements and partner internally on ESG ReportsEducation & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred; 10-15 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, or equity research experience within or covering biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies is required; or similar experience in the medical device, life science or pharmaceutical sectorAbility to digest, communicate, and respond to questions about complex scientific and clinical data from sophisticated investment community stakeholdersAbility to work effectively with cross-functional partners to develop impactful communications and meaningfully advance corporate and program strategyExcellent computer skills (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)Superior relationship-building skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesPrior experience in the medical device, life science or pharmaceutical sector preferredOrganizational agility - can confidently gain credibility quickly with leaders across all parts of the organization, including executive managementThrives in diverse environments with high levels of ambiguityCollaborative and builds strong professional relationships easilyAbility to influence without authority, lead change, and manage resistance to changeMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, and resourcefulSKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS note:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
