AI Projects Intern- Summer 2024:
The AI Projects Intern will support the AI department in developing and enhancing AI-powered features and tools, such as our chatbot, language translation, and voice recognition projects.
Responsibilities include assisting with requirements documentation, project planning, testing, and implementing AI models, conducting research on new AI technologies, and collaborating with the AI team to integrate AI solutions across various platforms.
PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 9am-6pm.
Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager.
Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday.
Applicants should have a minimum of one quarter/semester/trimester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes.

Responsibilities:
As an intern in the AI department, you'll have the chance to contribute to a variety of innovative projects that are central to our mission of delivering personalized e-commerce experiences.
One key area you may be involved with is our chatbot, working to enhance its capabilities for more intuitive customer interactions, such as handling returns/refunds, tracking shipments, and exploring the integration of voice/phone support.
In addition to the possibility of enhancing chatbot functionalities, you'll be exposed to other AI initiatives depending on our current focus and your interests.
Including:
o Assisting in the development of an internal ChatGPT application to streamline content creation and other business service processes.
o Contributing to translation workflows, ensuring our global audience receives a localized and seamless experience.
o Supporting image upscaling efforts to improve the visual quality of customer photos for our personalized products.
o While we aim to provide a broad experience, the specific project or task assigned to you will be determined by our most immediate business needs and project priorities during your internship.

Requirementso Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
o Basic proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, SQL or similar, with a keen interest in AI and machine learning.
o Familiarity with AI and prompt engineering concepts and tools.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
o Demonstrates initiative, organizational and time management skills.
o Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
o Covid-19 vaccine is required - reasonable accommodations will be considered.
Working Conditions:
o Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
o Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
o Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
o Position requires regular sitting and standing.
o Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods:

o May require occasional travel.
o This is a hybrid position; interns are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
BenefitsCompensation:
The base pay for this position is $19.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
