LinkedIn Corporation has the following openings. Build a leading edge enterprise data warehouse encompassing the entire life cycle, including data integration, transformation, logical and physical design, security, backup, and archival strategies implementing industry best practices. Design and construct high performance ETL tools and routines including data quality and testing. Refactor existing models to improve performance, correctness, and scalability of data models. Translate business requirements into Data Models, refactoring existing Data Models, Data Warehousing, Data Distribution, and Global Reference Data Architectures. Direct the data warehouse meta data standards and meta data capture and access effort. Build out Data Marts and other Database constructs that support a Subscription Business Model. Collaborate with business owners to define and understand business requirements of enterprise data warehouse. Understand companys transactional system, data sources and identify the gaps in business processes and data accuracy in early life cycle of the project. Act as a key liaison to the companys BI product manager and developers, developing solutions to design problems, increasing efficiency and performance, and recommending best practices for data warehouse-driven reporting and analytics. Serve as a liaison between the business experts/users and the project technical team to ensure the users requirements are understood and interpreted correctly by the technical team. Lead technical discussions impacting solutions and data integration technology.
Employer will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelors degree followed by 5 years of progressive experience, employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
