Spirent designs, manufactures and supplies advanced Satellite Navigation test and simulation systems, many of which comprise radio frequency signal generators plus computer systems running complex application software; all designed in-house. These systems are sold all over the world to high-profile organisations and inevitably there are occasional problems experienced by the users €“ component failures, software bugs, documentation issues or the customer may simply need guidance and/or advice.
This individual will join a small team dedicated to fulfilling the varied and challenging post-sales support requirements of these international clientele, and will report to the Senior Support Services Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Member of Technical Staff in the Global Services department, your responsibilities will include;
Primary responsibilities
Analyse reported problems, replicating and demonstrating them if needed using appropriate dedicated support equipment.
Suggest, prepare and deliver solutions to customers for both hardware and software problems.
Liaise with engineering to analyse and resolve complex customer issues and to report identified hardware or software design flaws.
Assist Professional Services team with delivery of PS engagements if required.
Liaise with manufacturing to arrange repairs of returned equipment and carry out minor repairs.
Liaise with Sales/Logistics in handling customer returns and shipments
Other responsibilities
Assist in distribution of software and hardware upgrades to customers.
Perform calibrations/integrations at customer sites on key product range when required.
Generate special test scenarios from customer requests.
Provide customer training on Spirent products either at Spirent or customers' site
Maintain literature available through the support website
Produce technical documents / knowledgebase articles
Job Requirements:
Essential Requirements:
A recognized further education qualification in a relevant or closely related Engineering discipline.
Computer literacy (experience in Operating Systems and Software Applications)
Windows 10
Windows 7
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Outlook
Direct and recent experience using standard RF and other test equipment such as:
Power Meters
Spectrum analysers
Frequency counters
Good communication and presentation skills
Good level of literacy and numeracy
Good problem solving abilities.
Flexible and dedicated approach
2 year's related experience in a high technology organisation
Willingness to travel internationally, up to 25 % of the time
Appreciation of Satellite Navigation concepts (training will be provided).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
