Job Responsibilities:
The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating, evaluation and submitting customer applications for residential loans. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of residential loan origination experience, with demonstrated sales ability and strong communications skills. This person should also have strong written and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, be a self-starter, and be able to work in a team atmosphere.

Job Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
Experience:
History of successful residential loan origination for a minimum of two years
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong sales background with the proven ability to develop relationships to increase sales production through referrals
Excellent presentation, organization and communication skills
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience working with proprietary business software.
Experience with mortgage industry applicable state and national regulations
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills, including communicating with both internal and external customers.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently; able to work under stress/pressure.
Bilingual - Spanish speaking is a plus.
Other:
NMLS and CA DBO License required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
